Safety, Behavior & Items to Carry

1. Safety & Rescue :

Follow up your Guide’s Instruction For The Safety & Behavior procedures
When required for any reasons, Call:

  • Stay away from narrow canyons to avoid Flash floods
  • Drink more water & use cover heads, while trekking in the summer season to avoid dehydration & Heat Stroke.
  • First Aid Kit, to contain:
    1. Panadol tablets or similar
    2. Anti biotic ointments, band Aids, plaster, scissors, cotton, etc.
    3. Antiseptics.
    4. Insect repellent (Deet 50%)
    5. Allergy tablets e.g. Anti Histamine

Note : Jordan has engineered a lot of successful helicopter rescues when required, and our Trail guides at the nature reserves are experienced first aid supporters.

2. Behavior :

  • a- Respect the customs of the local people
  • b- Dress in modest way, long sleeves shirts and never shorts, when travelling in populated areas.
  • c- Leave noting behind. Do not litter , keep nature clean for others to enjoy.

3. Items to carry :

  1. Sun block
  2. Cap
  3. Chap stick (lip balm)
  4. Swimming suit
  5. Good hiking shoes
  6. Towel
  7. Flip Flops
  8. Flash light
  9. Passport (Valid)
  10. Driver’s License
  11. Own bottle of water
  12. Diary & pen.
  13. Day pack if you have one
  14. Energy bar
  15. Paper rolls.
